The Kinesmetrics Research Laboratory is directed by Dr. Zhu. This laboratory focuses on research in measurement and evaluation in Kinesiology. The laboratory is equipped with high-speed IBM computers and all major statistical (e.g., SPSS, SAS, S+, CART, HLM and LISREL) and measurement (e.g., GENOVA, BILOG, MULTILOG, FACETS, Test Equating Package, DIF Package and ITEMAN) software programs. Besides conducting several funded measurement research projects, the laboratory has contracted with the American College of Sport Medicine recently to conduct psychometric analyses for its certification examinations.
The Kinesmetrics Laboratory collaborates with other laboratories in the Department of Kinesiology and Community Health, and other UIUC departments to provide access to a variety of additional research resources to support multi-factorial research questions.
